I am smelling a new romance flourishing between UAAP basketball player Simon Atkins and actress Kim Chiu. It started when Simon asked his friend former PBB Teen housemate Josef Elizalde via Twitter to introduce him to Kim. They finally were able to talk on the phone and Kim seemed to like Simon also.

Half-Filipino Clint Jun Gamboa off to next round of American Idol 10
If you're wondering if the asian-looking guy Clint Jun Gamboa who belted out the song "Get Ready" during the group round of the Hollywood Week in American Idol Season 10, is a Filipino?
Yes he is. I read this on the comments of his old Youtube video when someone asked him his roots even before he joined the singing contest. He said he is Half-Pinoy. Check his Youtube channel HERE.
The karaoke host and his group in the second round of Hollywood Week got a little controversial when they dismissed 15 year-old Jaycee Badeaux since the latter cannot catch up with their choreography. Jacee ended up searching for a new group while fighting back in tears.
It was a good call for Clint's group since they were able to deliver one of the best performances of this round. Clint was shocked though when Steven Tyler asked his groupmates to step forward leaving him behind alone, only to find out that they all made it through to the next round.

Simon Atkins talks to Kim Chu over the phone - romance in the making?
It all started when UAAP basketball player-model Simon Atkins (@7SimonAtkins) asked his friend Pinoy Big Brother Teen Ex-housemante Josef Elizalde (@josefelizalde) through Twitter to introduce him to young actress Kim Chiu.
"@josefelizalde pssst Kim Chiu! pakilala mo ako ha" Simon tweeted.
On SNN, Kim Chiu admitted that she spoke with Simon Atkins over the phone already.
“Simon Atkins, actually hindi ko siya kilala, naririnig ko lang, hindi ko pa siya nakikilala pero nag-usap na kami. Kasi ‘yong isang friend niya pinakausap sa akin,” Kim said.
Kim also added that she got curious after it was reported that the Green Archers' captain wanted to meet her. She revealed that she put an effort to search his name on the Internet.
"Hindi ko talaga alam. Sinearch ko lang siya sa Google.Okay naman siya. Basketbolista naman siya. 'Yon, thank you kung gusto niya ako makilala," Kim shared.
When asked on how the phone conversation went, Kim said,
"Sandali lang, e, kasi nga may ginagawa nga ako. E, bakit ko siya kakausapin, hindi ko nga siya kakilala? Gusto niya raw ako makausap, so 'yon."
Would she agree to go out on a date with him? “Hindi ko pa alam, depende, depende.” according to the actress.
Doe she like him? "Yes naman, 'no!", Kim said.
Will she will end up being Atkins’ girlfriend in the future?
“Hindi ko alam. ‘Yung pagmamahal, ‘yung boyfriend darating at darating din ‘yan, eh. Hindi naman hinahanap ‘yan. Darating nang kusa ‘yan nang hindi mo alam.”

On June 8, 2003 during a half-time break of a Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) game, courtside-reporter Patricia Bermudez was delivering her spiel when she heard her boyfriend PBA player Vince Hizon's voice on the microphone. A few moments after, Hizon went down on his knees saying, “Will you make me the happiest man in the world and be Mrs. Vince Hizon?”

Phil Younghusband, Angel Locsin reschedule date
After Philippine Azkals' Phil Younghusband invited actress Angel Locsin for a date through Twitter which caused quite a stir, the two finally decided to do target shooting on February 13. However, they found out that the venue they had chosen closes during Sundays and so they postponed the date.
“Just to clear things, we didn’t go target shooting. We thought about it but we found out Saturday afternoon that the range closes on Sundays,” Angel tweeted.
Angel made the statement since eventologist Tim Yap and newscaster TJ Manotoc had a little Twitter 'argument' when TJ opposed Tim's tweet.
"Just learned that Phil Younghusband will be going out on a date with Angel Locsin tomorrow. They're gonna go target shooting. Hanep!" - tweeted by Tim on February 12.
TJ then posted a tweet a few moments after attacking Tim's post,
"sorry folks, I just checked w @PhilYHusband and as per him the shooting range date ain't true. hold ur horses!" TJ posted.
On February 13, TJ apologized to Tim and explained his tweet.
"Hey tweeps, I spoke to @iamtimyap and have apologized already, this is to apologize online as well. He is not wrong. He heard it from james. Meanwhile Phil denied it to me. So what can we do? Nothing :) let them have their peace as so they wish. Sometimes celebs admit to a few & deny to many. You can tell who is "few" & who is "many" in this situation :) thanks for understanding tim! My apologies again, you don't deserve the stupid hate being thrown your way for this."

James Yap gifts Kris Aquino a bracelet
Queen of All Media Kris Aquino's birthday falls on Valentine's Day. Her celebration this year included dining with estranged husband James Yap together with their son Bimby/Baby James and Kris's other son Josh, on Sunday, February 13.Kris who turned 40 on February 14, 2011 shared on Twitter that Bimby and James gave her a bracelet as a gift.
“He + bimby bought me a lovely bracelet w/ a heartwarming card. Josh & Bimby loved riding in James’ car. I rode in my own to give them time together,”she tweeted.
Kris further said that she wishes 'legal freedom' for her and James.
“By the way, I’m allowed a wish right? I wish James & I the legal freedom to be able to love again & share w/ new lifelong partners the love we failed to sustain between us. Bimby gave him a red BB Torch & I gave him 2 Bruno Mars VIP tickets for him & his date for April 8. Happy birthday to him on Feb 15,” she added.

Aljur Abrenica lost his virginity at 17 to Ara Mina?
After a big revelation from the Machete lead star Ajur Abrenica that he lost his 'innocence' to an older woman when he was still a minor (17 years old), people can't help to speculate who the woman could be since he did not mention who it was.A couple of entertainment sites came up with one name which they based on whom the actor have worked with. And it was Ara Mina.
They suspected the 31-year-old sexy actress Ara Mina since she has worked with Aljur on an afternoon soap, "Dapat Ba Kitang Mahalin?" where the two even had some intimate love scenes.

While having a break during their football practice before their match against Mongolia, Philippine Azkals' James Younghusband together with brother Phil and a buddy did a very cute video which I guess is a parody of Glee's "Teenage Dream". Kapuso star Solenn Heussaff is happy on how the relationship of her brother Erwan Heussaff to actress Anne Curtis is going on right now especially that Anne is now more vocal about it. Solenn said in a PEP interview,

The Sharon Cuneta Billboard Controversy started when Hayden Kho allegedly attacked the Megastar Sharon Cuneta's billboard ad in EDSA on Twitter. On January 28, 2011, Hayden Kho reportedly tweeted,
“There’s a billboard ad in Edsa developed by advertisers who think consumers are stupid. Guess.”
The boyfriend of Dra. Belo did not mention which billboard ad but people can't help referring it to Sharon Cuneta's Marie France ad showing the Megastar's slimmer body below:
Sharon Cuneta was not at all happy of what she heard from people. In an interview Sharon Cuneta said,
“Kung totoo ‘yon, ang kapal ng mukha niya!
“Wow! I wasn’t referring to the MF billboard. I was referring to a “L**D” that’s supposed to be a LOURDES. Dahan dahan naman po,” he Tweeted. “That was quite a wounding tirade from someone I respect. Ironic, really. Very ironic.”

Mico Palanca jailed after car accident
Actor Mico Palanca is now behind bars after a car accident along Ortigas Avenue in San Juan. Palanca's car said to have hit another car owned by a doctor.In an ABS-CBN report, police said that Mico Palanca underwent an inquest on charges of malicious mischief and slander. Aside from that, he also faces the following offences: driving without license and resistance and disobedience to an agent of authority after he failed to present his license when the authorities asked for it.
The complainant who owns the car that was hit by Palanca's is said to pursue and has no plans of withdrawing the cases filed.
Mico Palanca is curently detained at the San Juan Police Stattion.
Mico Palanca is a former Star Magic talent and is the younger brother of actor Bernard Palanca. He was last seen on ABS-CBN's show "Gimik 2010" and TV5's "Untold Stories Mula sa Face to Face" last year.

I feel that we have put one foot in the door, and we plan to keep doing what we do to make sure we can please everyone watching.
What’s the best thing about football? It’s a social, competitive game loved by so many all over the world. I guess that’s why it’s called “the world’s game.”
Describe yourself in one sentence. Fun, exciting, chilled out, social and loud with an open experimental attitude, willing to listen and learn and to give advice to others.
What do you do when you’re not playing football? Shopping, seeing my friends, PlayStation, and eating! (Laughs).
What’s the most unique thing about you? I have an obsession with looking at my phone and contacting everyone at all times, but in the Philippines, this seems like a common thing, so maybe it’s just me. (Laughs).
What’s the sweetest thing a girl has ever done for you? I think the sweetest thing a girl has ever done for me was to surprise me. She told me that we were going to dinner, then the next thing I knew I was watching a live concert, with a late meal.
What’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever done for a girl?
I think it would have to be taking her shopping, buying her clothes and some jewelry, then after, a romantic candlelit dinner along the river.
What’s your biggest passion? Football, of course, would be one. And life in general. I have a different, maybe interesting, way of looking at things. I like to live life, enjoy it, but also take it seriously, as you never know what’s around the corner. I always work hard in everything I do, and I’m always looking to live and learn about new things.
How do you deal with your fawning fans? I like to keep them entertained, and I like to keep in touch with them on Twitter as much as possible. It’s hard with the time difference, but I do like to interact with as many fans as I can, as they like to know what I’m doing and ask me questions.

Describe yourself in one sentence. Fun, exciting, chilled out, social and loud with an open experimental attitude, willing to listen and learn and to give advice to others.
What do you do when you’re not playing football? Shopping, seeing my friends, PlayStation, and eating! (Laughs).
What’s the most unique thing about you? I have an obsession with looking at my phone and contacting everyone at all times, but in the Philippines, this seems like a common thing, so maybe it’s just me. (Laughs).
What’s the sweetest thing a girl has ever done for you? I think the sweetest thing a girl has ever done for me was to surprise me. She told me that we were going to dinner, then the next thing I knew I was watching a live concert, with a late meal.
What’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever done for a girl?
I think it would have to be taking her shopping, buying her clothes and some jewelry, then after, a romantic candlelit dinner along the river.
What’s your biggest passion? Football, of course, would be one. And life in general. I have a different, maybe interesting, way of looking at things. I like to live life, enjoy it, but also take it seriously, as you never know what’s around the corner. I always work hard in everything I do, and I’m always looking to live and learn about new things.
How do you deal with your fawning fans? I like to keep them entertained, and I like to keep in touch with them on Twitter as much as possible. It’s hard with the time difference, but I do like to interact with as many fans as I can, as they like to know what I’m doing and ask me questions.
Where will we see you next? Next for me would be to contract myself with Fulham for a few more years and make some more appearances for the First Team at Fulham. Also, I would love to help the Philippine National Team move forward in the direction they are moving in.

"Happy Yipee Yehey!" Hosts include Sam Milby, John Prats, Matteo Guidicelli
The fans of Sam Milby previously voiced out their disappointment in various online forums when it was announced on TV Patrol that the line-up of hosts in the new noontime show on ABS-CBN "Happy Yipee Yehey!" did not include the Kapamilya hunk. I read on one saying "I don't want to subscribe on TFC anymore because Sam Milby is not on Happy Yipee Yehey!" or something like that.
I know the fans' disgust since they were excited when it was rumored that Sam Milby was taken for the show. But the people behind the new noontime show must have heard the fans and so they granted their wish.
Yes, Sam Milby will be part of "Happy Yipee Yehey!". Not only that young actors John Prats and Matteo Guidicelli are also joining the show as hosts.

Manny Pacquiao's LA Mansion, featured on MTV Cribs
The show that showcases fabulous homes in the US, including houses of our favorite Hollywood celebs, featured the luxury house in Los Angeles of Pound-for-Pound Champion Manny Pacquiao. MTV Cribs, the show's title, had this special episode last Saturday.
In an interview by Saksi (GMA7), Manny Pacquiao said that he did not intend to show off but was just trying to be kind and generous to the Music Channel after they asked him permission to feature his 5-bedroom house in the show.
Manny Pacquiao is the first Filipino to have appeared on the show.

Sam Concepcion hopes for an international career via Taylor Swift's Asian Tour!
If you have read on a post that I made a couple of days ago, I shared about international singing sensation Taylor Swift choosing Pinoy teen heartthrob Sam Conception to open her sold-out Manila concert this February 19, 2011 at Araneta Coliseum. Check the post HERE.
In a PEP interview, Sam said that he has received the good news and is ecstatic that he is not just doing the front act of the Manila Concert but all of the Asian countries Taylor Swift will be doing a concert at as part of her Asian Tour!
"I was told that Taylor Swift was looking for a front act for her concert. I tried out. But I didn't hear anything from them for so long. So, I'm like 'It's okay.' Then... I was thrilled when Renen [De Guia, concert producer] called up my manager [Carlo Orosa] who called me and said, 'You got it! But there's more...'"
Sam paused for effect, "[He told me], 'You will do the front act for her whole Asian tour.' I was floored!"
Sam Concepcion is now preparing for this big stint.

Albie Casiño, Andi Eigenmann were once a couple!
Since many of us previously know that she is only one of her celebrity crushes, it was indeed a big revelation when Mara Clara's Albie Casiño admitted recently that young actress Andi Eigenmann is his ex-girlfriend.
“Oo naging kami. Matagal na. Hindi pa ako artista noon. Hindi pa rin siya artista noon. We were together for a year.” Albie said during the Mara Clara Book 2 presscon via Push.
Albie was also asked of the reason of their break-up. Albie carefully replied.
“She broke up with me. But it’s nothing. Mutual, ‘yun na lang.”
He clarified though that they are still in good terms and remain as friends despite the split.
“We still talk. Minsan nagkikita. I knew her since I was eight years old. Hindi naman porke nag-break kami, magiging magkagalit na kami. She’s close to my mom.”
Albie Casino, 17, also defended Andi Eigenmann, 20, about her following him up to his dressing room once in ASAP backstage.
“We’re friends. And wala naman ako masyadong friends sa ASAP. Sa showbiz konti lang friends ko. Sa Mara Clara silang tatlo (Kathryn Bernardo, Julia Montes, and John Manalo) magkakilala na since Goin Bulilit. Ako six months ko pa lang sila kilala and mas matanda pa ako sa kanila.”
Even though they remained friends, Albie shared that it is not a good idea of working together with Andi:
“Alam niyo naman ang trabaho namin, puyatan ‘yan. Aaminin ko, kapag puyat ako, may tendency na uminit ‘yung ulo ko. Of course hindi ko naman basta basta inilalabas ‘yun sa ibang tao, lalo na kapag hindi ko naman kilala. Ang totoo kasi medyo outcast ako ngayon sa set. Naglalabas lang ako ng galit sa ka-close ko. Siyempre si Andi close kami. If ever magkatrabaho kami, tapos naging mainit ang ulo namin pareho. Baka magkasalubong. Sayang naman na dahil lang sa work masisira ‘yung friendship namin.”
